Chess Ops is a tactical action-strategy game that reimagines traditional chess as a cinematic battlefield. It retains classic chess rules but adds animated combat and war-themed mechanics. Each piece has a unique weapon: pawns wield pistols, knights swing swords, bishops snipe, rooks roll in as tanks, queens unleash miniguns, and kings fight with fists. Captures trigger cinematic battles instead of quiet moves. A streak system rewards aggressive play with airstrikes and special attacks. The game features AI, local two-player, and online multiplayer modes. It runs in the browser on both mobile and desktop, with fullscreen support for an immersive experience.

Players move pieces according to standard chess rules, but each capture triggers an animated battle. The core gameplay blends strategic planning with quick reactions: players must think ahead while leveraging streak bonuses for advantages. The streak system tracks consecutive captures, unlocking special abilities like airstrikes after a certain number. Multiple modes are available: AI for practice, local multiplayer for face-to-face play, and online multiplayer for global matches. Controls are simple: click or tap a piece to select it, then click or tap a destination square to move or capture.
