Devil's Gate
Devil's Gate is a platformer game where players guess trap locations on maps to avoid death, testing rationality and reflexes with each critical step.
On a sunny summer day, the orange was enjoying the warm weather when a strong wind suddenly blew it to an unknown city. Dark clouds gather overhead, and a heavy rain is about to pour down. The orange must quickly find cover, or it will soon rot. Players act as the orange's protector, using various objects and mechanisms in this medieval-style city to build safe shelters. Set in a fantasy world filled with knights and castles, the orange must navigate through different scenes, facing the challenges of wind and rain while uncovering the city's secrets. The story is simple and heartwarming, focusing on puzzle-solving and strategy, suitable for players of all ages.
The core gameplay is puzzle-solving. In each level, players see a scene with the orange positioned somewhere and dark clouds above indicating impending rain. Players must select and place items from a given set, such as planks, boxes, or springs, in strategic locations to alter the environment or trigger chain reactions, ultimately covering the orange safely. The order and angle of placement are crucial, as mistakes can leave the orange exposed. Level designs gradually increase in difficulty, introducing new elements like moving platforms or wind effects, testing players' logic and spatial reasoning. There is no time limit, encouraging repeated attempts and thoughtful planning to find optimal solutions.
Use mouse or touchscreen to click and drag items to appropriate positions in the scene, placing objects to protect the orange; fullscreen mode is supported for an immersive experience.
