About the Game

Crossmath Challenge blends the classic crossword grid with fundamental arithmetic, creating an addictive number puzzle experience. There is no lengthy tutorial or complex storyline; you are immediately faced with a crisscross grid of empty cells and a tray of number and operator tiles. Your goal is to place tiles so that every row and column forms a valid mathematical equation, with horizontal and vertical constraints interlocking like a crossword. As you progress, the grid expands and the variety of tiles increases, demanding faster mental math, sharper logic, and more careful planning. Whether you have a few minutes to spare or want to push your high score, this game delivers just the right amount of brain-teasing fun. Its clean visual style and responsive feedback make it accessible to players of all ages, inviting everyone to enjoy the unique charm of math and logic combined.

How to Play

The core gameplay revolves around dragging number and operator tiles onto a crossword-style grid. At the start, you see a grid with some cells possibly pre-filled as hints, while the rest are empty. A tray at the bottom offers a random selection of tiles, including digits 0-9 and arithmetic operators like +, -, ×, and ÷. Tap or drag a tile to place it into an empty cell, aiming to make every horizontal row and vertical column form a correct mathematical equation (e.g., 3 + 5 = 8). Numbers and symbols must align exactly, with no invalid or dangling fragments. When you complete a valid equation, that row or column locks and awards points; if you make a mistake, you can undo your last placement and try again. As the game advances, grids grow larger and equations become more complex, sometimes involving multi-digit numbers or mixed operations that must satisfy both across and down constraints. A limited-use hint feature auto-fills one correct cell to help you past tough spots, while the shuffle button rearranges the tray order, potentially revealing new approaches. The pace is brisk, but later levels will truly test your mental arithmetic and strategic planning.

Controls

Tap or click a tile in the bottom tray, then tap an empty cell to place it. You can also drag a tile directly onto a cell. Use Undo to remove your last placement, Shuffle to reorder your tray, and Hint to auto-fill a cell (limited uses).
