Drunken Boxing is a 2D fighting game themed around drunken boxing martial arts, set in a vibrant arena. Inspired by traditional drunken fist techniques, players take on the role of drunken boxers engaging in intense duels in a lighthearted and humorous atmosphere. The game focuses on quick reflexes and strategic planning, requiring players to control their characters for attacks and defenses while monitoring an energy bar. The energy bar is a core mechanic; when depleted, the character becomes vulnerable and takes time to recover, adding strategic depth and tension. With simple design and cartoonish graphics, the game is suitable for all ages, offering fast-paced entertainment.
In Drunken Boxing, the core gameplay involves 1v1 fighting. Players control drunken boxers, using quick punches to attack opponents with the goal of knocking them out. The game features an energy bar system where each punch consumes energy; if the bar runs out, the character becomes temporarily vulnerable, unable to attack or defend effectively until energy recovers. This requires players to calculate energy usage during attacks to avoid overconsumption. The game supports local two-player mode, allowing simultaneous duels for increased interactivity and competition. Gameplay is easy to pick up but offers strategic elements through energy management, encouraging players to balance offense and defense to achieve victory.
Player 1 uses arrow keys for movement and attacks, Player 2 uses W, A, S, D keys. On touchscreen devices, players can use virtual buttons on the left and right sides of the screen.
