An abstract and gripping point-and-click adventure where you guide an office worker to break free from his monotonous daily routine by discovering five ways to change his life.

About the Game

Every Day the Same Dream is an experimental point-and-click adventure game developed by Molleindustria and released in 2009. Featuring minimalist black-and-white pixel art, the game tells the story of an ordinary office worker trapped in an endless daily loop. Each morning he wakes up, washes, dresses, kisses his wife, commutes, works, and returns home, day after day. Players must explore this monotonous world and discover five ways to break the routine, altering the protagonist's fate. The atmosphere is gloomy and surreal, using repetitive daily actions and subtle interactions to deeply explore themes of alienation, free will, and the meaning of existence in modern society. Each break from routine triggers unexpected consequences, prompting players to reflect on the nature of life.

How to Play

Players control the protagonist using click and keyboard arrow keys to move and interact with objects and characters in the environment. The core gameplay involves exploring office, home, and city settings to find five key points that break the daily cycle. Examples include refusing to get out of bed, going to work without clothes, or having unconventional conversations with coworkers. Each deviation triggers a short cutscene revealing the protagonist's inner change. The game offers no explicit hints or goals, encouraging free exploration and experimentation. The overall playthrough is short, but multiple endings add replay value.
