Marvel vs Capcom: Clash of Super Heroes is an arcade fighting game released by Capcom in 1998, the second installment in the Marvel vs. Capcom crossover series. The game features a roster of Marvel superheroes such as Captain America, Spider-Man, Iron Man, and Hulk, alongside iconic Capcom characters like Ryu from Street Fighter, Mega Man, and Morrigan from Darkstalkers. Building upon its predecessor X-Men vs. Street Fighter, it introduces a tag team system allowing players to form a duo and switch between characters mid-battle, enabling flashy air combos and assist attacks. Players select two characters to form a team (or play solo) and engage in 2-on-2 tag battles against opponents. Each character has an independent health bar, and players can switch between them freely during combat; inactive characters slowly recover health. Controls are similar to Street Fighter: use the directional keys to move, and attack with punch and kick buttons. Combining directional inputs with attack buttons triggers special moves and hyper combos. The game supports single-player versus CPU or two-player versus. The objective is to defeat all opposing characters within the time limit.
