Draw powders, liquids, lava, solids, and gases to watch realistic physics with marching squares and custom materials.

About the Game

Physics Sandbox is a creative pixel-style physics simulation game with no strict goals. You can freely draw a variety of materials—powder, sand, liquids, lava, solids, and gases—and watch them interact under realistic rules like gravity, collision, and chemical reactions. The game features advanced marching squares rendering for smooth visuals, making pixel and fluid transitions more natural. You can also create custom materials by tweaking properties, allowing endless experimentation. Whether you want to relax, explore scientific concepts, or simply enjoy creating and destroying, this sandbox offers a satisfying playground.

How to Play

The core gameplay revolves around drawing and observing. Use the left mouse button to continuously paint the selected material onto the canvas; once placed, materials immediately react to physics. Choose from powder, sand, liquid, lava, solid, or gas—each behaves uniquely: sand piles up, liquid flows and spreads, lava burns and interacts, solids hold shape until broken, and gas rises. Right-click erases materials, allowing quick edits. Interface panels can be dragged and minimized for more canvas space. Combine materials to build dams, create volcanic eruptions, simulate fluid flow, or design chain reactions. There are no fixed tasks or failure conditions—just free creation and experimentation, encouraging repeated trials and observation of physics interactions.
