Quoridor 3D is a 3D adaptation of the classic board game Quoridor, blending traditional strategic elements with modern graphics. Set on a three-dimensional board, players control a pawn aiming to reach the opposite finish line. Inspired by abstract strategy games, it emphasizes spatial planning and obstacle placement. Utilizing WebGL technology, the game offers smooth visual experiences, appealing to players who enjoy deep thinking and competitive gameplay. In each match, players must advance quickly while strategically placing walls to disrupt opponents' paths, creating dynamic offensive and defensive duels.
Core gameplay revolves around moving pawns and placing walls. Each turn, players can either move their pawn one step (forward, backward, left, or right) or place a wall to block paths on the board. Walls can be placed horizontally or vertically but cannot completely seal an opponent's route. The objective is to be the first to reach the opposite side. Gameplay focuses on strategic planning, requiring players to anticipate opponents' moves, balance personal advancement with hindering others, and use limited wall resources effectively. It supports single-player mode, typically against AI with increasing difficulty levels.
Interact with the game using a mouse or trackpad: click and drag to rotate the 3D view for different angles of the board; click on the pawn to select movement direction; click on the wall icon and drag to place walls on the board; click the fullscreen button for an immersive experience. Designed for desktop play, keyboard or mouse is recommended for optimal control.
