Rope Chef is a cute cooking physics puzzle where ingredients hang from ropes above a pot and you cut the ropes at the right moment so each one swings, bounces, or floats into the pot in the order shown on the recipe card.

About the Game

Ingredients hang from ropes above a pot, and you cut them loose at the right moment so they drop into the pot in the order the recipe card shows. Get the order right and the dish is served. Miss, or drop the wrong ingredient first, and Nibbs the steamed-bun chef swoons dramatically. The game has 50 short levels across 14 cuisines: Singapore hawker, Japan, Italy, Mexico, India, Korea, France, USA, Thailand, Middle East, China, Vietnam, Spain, and Peru. Every world adds a twist, including bounce pads, bubbles you pop, fans, a moving pot, a hot pan, portals, conveyor belts, flippers, wind, a rival chef's decoy pot, burning ropes, and slippery ice. Each dish offers up to 3 stars for serving it, grabbing the spice, and beating par time, and stars unlock new worlds. The game also keeps a daily streak, provides a ghost line to preview a swing, and lets you skip a dish you are stuck on. Nibbs cheers, winks, sneezes, and juggles along the way. The game works on desktop and mobile.

How to Play

Every dish begins with a recipe card that shows the order its ingredients must enter the pot. Each ingredient hangs from a rope, and once the rope is cut, the ingredient swings, bounces, or floats. Time the cut so each ingredient lands in the pot in the order the card shows, and the dish is served when the order is right. Each dish awards up to 3 stars for serving it, grabbing the spice, and beating par time. Stars unlock new worlds. A ghost line previews a swing, and you can skip a dish you are stuck on.

Controls

Mouse: click or drag across a rope to cut it, and click a bubble to pop it. Touch: swipe across a rope to cut it, and tap bubbles to pop them. Check the recipe card at the top and send the ingredients into the pot in that order.
