A twist on Snake: eat every apple to clear the board, then lead your whole tail through a sliding door to escape. 24 levels range from open fields to tight mazes, with teleport pits and hopping frogs. Three speeds, four control schemes, best scores saved.

About the Game

Serpento reinvents the classic Snake formula. Eating every apple is only half the job – once the board is clear, a door slides open in the wall, and you must guide your entire tail through it to complete the level. The game features 24 handcrafted stages, starting from open, spacious arenas and progressing to nerve-wracking two-tile-wide mazes. Along the way, you'll encounter pits that instantly teleport you across the board, and frogs that hop away as you approach, forcing you to plan your moves carefully. With three adjustable speeds, you can take your time or test your reflexes. Four control schemes are available, including keyboard, touch, and mouse input, so you can play the way you prefer. Every level keeps a record of your best score, pushing you to improve and master each puzzle. Combining nostalgic arcade charm with fresh puzzle elements, Serpento is a must-play for Snake fans looking for a new challenge.

How to Play

Control a snake on a grid-based board. Eat all the apples to unlock the exit door. As you eat, your snake grows longer, so you must avoid running into your own tail or walls. Once no apples remain, a door opens – lead the snake's head through the door, then ensure the entire body follows before the door closes. Be mindful of special tiles: teleport pits instantly move your snake to another spot on the board, while frogs jump away when you get close, requiring careful maneuvering. Levels become increasingly tricky, with tight corridors and complex layouts demanding precise pathfinding. You can change the game speed at any time, slowing down for tricky puzzles or speeding up once you've mastered a level. Aim for a perfect run to set new records.
