Shikaku Puzzle is a classic logic puzzle originating from Japan. The game is played on a rectangular grid with numbered cells scattered throughout. Each number represents a rectangular region that must contain exactly that many cells, and the rectangle must cover the cell with the number. The goal is to partition the entire grid into non-overlapping rectangles such that each rectangle contains exactly one number and its area equals that number. The game offers multiple difficulty levels and grid sizes, from easy 6x6 puzzles to expert 10x10 puzzles, catering to players of all skill levels. Additionally, it features daily challenges and a custom puzzle creator, allowing players to design and share their own puzzles.
Players must divide the grid into rectangles based on the given numbers. Each rectangle must contain one number, and its area (number of cells) must equal that number. Rectangles cannot overlap and must cover the entire grid. Players draw rectangles by clicking and dragging; if the rectangle is valid, it highlights. The game provides instant feedback to help players solve puzzles step by step. As difficulty increases, grids become larger and clues fewer, requiring more complex logical reasoning.
