About the Game

The Eye of the Storm: A Moonstray Story is a furry visual novel developed by Marrowdon, set on the mysterious Moonstray Island. Players take on the role of an amnesiac protagonist who wakes up on the shores of a misty fishing village, rescued by the local Rowan and given a fresh start. The game revolves around themes of second chances, healing, and self-protection, as the protagonist discovers that the island's inhabitants are each hiding painful histories. With a strange storm gathering on the horizon, players must decide whether to help the characters break down their emotional walls before the storm turns violent, emphasizing that love overcomes all. Featuring gender-neutral dialogue, the game is accessible to all players and includes complete romance stories for Rowan, Theo, and Cedar, each with its own timeline and ending choices based on affection responses. Ongoing development plans to add more CGs, scenarios, and a secret route, with an adult version coming soon. Currently in development, the game supports HTML5, Windows, macOS, Linux, and Android platforms, built with the Ren'Py engine, and offers adjustable music and sound effects for players with sensitive hearing.

How to Play

The core gameplay is narrative-driven, typical of visual novels, where players click to advance text and explore the amnesiac protagonist's adventures on Moonstray Island. Players interact with multiple characters in the fishing village, including Rowan, Theo, and Cedar, each with independent romance routes; dialogue choices affect character affinity and story progression. The game features a multiple-ending system, with different versions triggered by emotional responses to characters (such as flirtatious, kind, or aloof choices), including a hard-to-achieve bad ending. Players can replay different routes to experience unique timelines and uncover the island's hidden supernatural lore. Emphasizing character development and emotional immersion, players help characters overcome their pasts while exploring the world's mysteries before the storm arrives. Version 2.0 updates introduce new characters, sprites, backgrounds, CGs, music, and sound effects, with bug fixes and improved story consistency.
