But the road is not always safe—red minus gates will strip your upgrades, so precise steering is crucial. The game blends arcade racing with light RPG elements, as you earn money from each run to invest in your garage. Unlock new parking spots, purchase fresh cars, and customize their paint jobs. As you progress further, the empty road gives way to unexpected obstacles: giant kaiju monsters that block your path. To clear them, you'll need to equip weapons, adding a combat layer to the driving. With each lap, you collect money, fueling a satisfying loop of risk, reward, and progression. Whether you're dodging downgrades, building your ultimate machine, or taking down monsters, Upgrade the CARS offers a fast-paced, replayable challenge for fans of driving and upgrade games.

Control your car by dragging with the mouse or swiping on touch to steer left and right. Your primary objective is to drive through green plus gates, which upgrade your engine, body, and speed. Avoid the red minus gates, as they will remove upgrades. Each run ends when you reach the end of the track, and you can cash in your upgraded car for money. Use your earnings to buy new parking spots, unlock fresh cars in the garage, and repaint them in the texture shop. Collect money on every lap to fund future upgrades. As you push further, giant kaiju will block your path, and you will need to purchase weapons to clear them. Tap on-screen buttons to buy upgrades, sell cars, and unlock new spots. The core loop is risk vs. reward: upgrade carefully, avoid downgrades, and invest wisely to progress.
